Dayton-Wright OW.1 Aerial Coupe

Dayton-Wright had built under license, but the Coupe was much altered from its British ancestor, with a wider fuselage that accommodated an enclosed cabin for the pilot and two (later three) passengers. Only the single OW.1 prototype was ever built, but it did record a place in history by achieving a record altitude of 19,710 feet during a May 1921 flight, over what would one day become Wright-Patterson AFB.
